Location

Porto is the second largest city of Portugal, located at North, and bathed by the Douro River and the Atlantic Ocean. Its origin dates back to the IV century, and its historic center has a diverse civil and religious architecture. Built along the hillsides overlooking the mouth of the Douro River, Porto has a unique landscape. The city is also known worldwide for the famous Port Wine. 

Porto’s Historic Centre was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1996. 

Porto was awarded the prize of European Best Destination in 2014.
