STRUCTURE

The Doctor’s degree in Earth Sciences is awarded by the University of Porto and the University of Aveiro, both responsible by the program, in one of the following specialities: Geological Resources and Geomaterials; Geodynamics; Petrology and Geochemistry; Applied Geology and Exploration Methods; Hydrology/Hydrogeology; Coastal and Marine Geology; Stratigraphy and Sedimentology.

The cycle of studies leading to the Doctor’s degree in Earth Sciences includes a curricular component with 60 ECTS and the elaboration of an original thesis, especially developed for this purpose, corresponding to 120 ECTS.

EDITION

In the academic year 2019/2020, the Doctoral Program in Earth Sciences will take place at the University of Aveiro.
