Laboratory of Risk Assessment of contaminated soil and waters (LABRISK)
LABRISK is located at Campo Alegre Pole and has the main competences for assessing soils quality through a set of physical, chemical and biological properties, to performed risk assessment of contaminated areas (including soil, water and sediments) based on European and international risk assessment frameworks, and also for the risk assessment of new or existing chemical substances (e.g. pesticides).
Wood identification and characterization
Application of microscopic wood anatomy to distinguish species. We have a large collection of wood samples and develop wood-related R&D and services. Services in eg. art restoration, history of furniture, forensic, construction.
