Eliana F. C. Simões concluded her doctoral program in chemistry in February 2017 by Faculdade de Ciências of Universidade do Porto. Her research focuses in fluorescent sensors. In the last years works with fluorescent carbon nanoparticles. Has experience in synthesis and characterization of carbon nanoparticles and their application as sensor. Fluorescent carbon nanoparticles were used as sensor for detection of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species there are present in different diseases.
