The SUSTAINABLE AGRIFOOD PRODUCTION SEMINARS are back for cycle 2024-2025!

With launching scheduled for December 11, at UTAD, this new edition, we will also include talks from national and international researchers from both Inov4Agro centers

The SUSTAINABLE AGRIFOOD PRODUCTION SEMINARS, initially organized within the scope of GreenUPorto and aiming at promoting the works and the establishment of synergies between doctoral students associated with the Research Unit, will continue on the last edition’s goal of expanding its scope to the Associate Laboratory Inov4Agro, counting also with the organization and participation of CITAB, from UTAD.

Also, similarly to the last edition of the Seminars, we will attribute awards to the best communications (for speakers with at least 80% participation): €1500 for 1st place and €750 for 2nd place in each center. The prize will be available for use by the student over the course of 1 year, to disseminate their research or develop their scientific skills.

In this new edition, we will also include talks from national and international researchers from both centers (one per seminar)!

The launching of the new cycle of Seminars will happen by December 11 at UTAD, and the cycle will last until July 2025, with one seminar per month (every third Wednesday). Each seminar will include 2 presentations, one GreenUPorto and one CITAB, and an additional talk by an international or national researcher from one of the centers. Each presentation will last 20 minutes and will be in English, ending with a joint discussion (30 minutes).

The seminars will take place on the third Wednesday of each month, from December to July, in person, with speakers at their respective institutions (no online streaming), and we also offer a coffee break!

The final agenda for all sessions and respective speakers (GreenUPorto and CITAB) will soon be availiable here.
