GreenUPorto organizes the «International Seminar on Food, Innovation and Consumer Perception»
The seminar took place at DGAOT-FCUP, with the intervention of several international experts
During the last 26th of January, we had our International Seminar on Food, Innovation and Consumer Perception.
At the event, we were delighted to listen to international experts on these topics, such as:
- Doctor Purificación García Segovia, Professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Inginiería Agronómica y del Medio Natural at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and member of the ifood Team with «Food customization through 3D printing»
- Doctor Rosires Deliza, Senior Researcher at Embrapa Agroindústria de Alimentos, Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation and Professor at PPGCTA and PPGCAL, at UFRJ – UFRJ – Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro with « Technological innovation in food and the consumer»
- Doctor Luís Miguel Cunha, Professor at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto | FCUP and Researcher at GreenUPorto with «Consumer perspectives on the development of new foods incorporating edible insects»
- Doctor Célia Rocha, Researcher at GreenUPorto and Director of R&D at Sense Test, Lda with «New sensory analysis methodologies to support the development of new products»
Opening the session, we had the Vice Director of GreenUPorto, Professor Susana Carvalho, as well as the FCUP DGAOT – Department of Geosciences, Environment and Spatial Plannings – Director, Professor Joaquim Esteves da Silva.
As moderators of the sessions, we had Professors Ana Pinto de Moura, Integrated Researcher at GreenUPorto and Professor at Universidade Aberta and Susana Fonseca, also a Researcher at GreenUPorto and Professor at FCUP.
The Seminar was an excellent opportunity to debate and learn more about the fascinating world and recent advances in Food Science and Consumer Perception research!
