The final session of the 2023-2024 cycle of the Sustainable Agrifood Production Seminars took place on July 17th at UTAD. The Inov4Agro initiative brings together all teams from the CITAB (UTAD) and GreenUPorto (FCUP, U.Porto) research centers, to promote communication of their works and the establishment of synergies between the 2 research centers.

Over the course of 8 months and 8 sessions, 16 doctoral students from both centers presented their work, competing against each other for 4 prizes to be awarded to the best communications.

In the last session of the Seminars, in addition to watching the final presentations of the cycle, the prize winners were also announced by the Directors of both research centers!

In GreenUPorto, the winners were:
1st Prize (1500€) – Marisa Lourenço, from our CROP Lab
2nd Prize (750€) – Miguel Santos, also from CROP Lab

In CITAB, the winners were:
1st Prize (1500€) – Sílvia Afonso
2nd Prize (750€) – Susana Barros 

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!

There was also the opportunity for CITAB colleagues to take us on a guided tour of their facilities at UTAD, introducing us to some of their skills and work in progress.

We thus close this cycle of the Sustainable Agrifood Production Seminars with a bang, with preparations for the next edition starting next school year!
