Maria Isabel Amorim is assistant professor at department of Biology of FCUP. She was graduated in Biology at UP in 1984 and performed her PHD thesis at FIOCRUZ and UFRJ in 1993. In 1994-1997 she worked on Molecular Genetics at IBMC-UP as a post-doctoral fellow. Currently, she is developing research work in the field of ​​molecular genetics and molecular biology, essentially in Viridiplantae.
