João Oliveira-Pacheco is a PhD researcher at GreenUPorto. The main focus of his work will be to apply omics and molecular biology tools to characterize the soil biodiversity, genetic variability of environmental pathogens and the identification of genetic biomarkers responsive to abiotic stress factors. He holds a MSc in Molecular Genetics from UMinho and a PhD in Infection Biology from UCD (Ireland). His research interests are microbial genetics, NGS tools, Omics, microbiology and biomarkers.
