Fernanda Fidalgo has a PhD degree in Biology (Plant Physiology) from Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto, where she is Professor at the Biology Department. Her scientific activity has been focusing on the study of biochemical, molecular and ultrastructural aspects involved in the response of plants to abiotic stress, using both in vivo and in vitro approaches. In addition, her research activity also addresses the development of eco-friendly ways to mitigate stress induced phytotoxicity.
