Cristiano Soares has a MSc degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto. He is currently developing his PhD thesis, which aims to explore the phytotoxicity of glyphosate in tomato plants and to test different eco-friendly approaches to reduce pesticide-induced stress. His scientific research activity has been focused on the plant abiotic stress tolerance, especially regarding the oxidative metabolism and the plant antioxidant networks.
