Andreia Garrido holds a PhD in Biology (Doctoral Programme in Agricultural Production Chains – from fork to farm) and a MSc in Plant Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioentrepreneurship, both from University of Minho. Currently she is investigator at GreenUPorto, in the project ‘SNAP – Sustainable Management and Control of Agro-Production Systems’ (NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000085). Her work aims to understand the biochemical and molecular responses related to the optimization of growth conditions in vertical production systems to maximize the production of secondary metabolites in aromatic and medicinal plants (Catharanthus roseus), as well as to promote the intrinsic quality of horticultural food products.
