POP-UP is the core peptide synthesis facility recently set up at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, coordinated by Paula Gomes.
This unit is equipped with a CEM Liberty1 system for microwave-assisted peptide synthesis and with a PTI Symphony X system for multi-parallel peptide synthesis. The facility has also both preparative and analytical HPLC equipments for peptide purification and analysis. Peptide analysis is additionally performed in articulation with the University of Porto's Structural Analysis Lab, in particular with its Mass Spectrometry Unit.
