The Issue 7 of Volume 21 of the International Journal of Algebra and Computation has been dedicated to the conference.
This conference aims to present to the participants the state of the art in algebraic theory of semigroups and its connections to related fields, namely group theory and theoretical computer science. It will be held in Porto, Portugal, on July 6-11, 2009, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto.
